* DISCLAIMER:
I am not responsible for any damage or problem that StringReq can directly
or indirectly cause to you or to your work/hardware. Use this program at
your own risk.
* DISTRIBUTION:
StringReq is a FreeWare software. You can freely distribute it only if you
don't alter the archive contents and if you don't ask any more money for it
than a nominal fee for copy and distribution costs.
* What is StringReq?
StringReq is a commodity that pops up a file requester when you
double-click on a string gadget or when you press a specified hot-key
when the gadget is selected (i.e. the text cursor is inside it).
Once you choosed a directory and/or a file, StringReq will put the path and
name strings into the gadget string, starting from the text cursor position.
* How to run StringReq?
Simply doubleclick his icon or type his name in a shell window and press
RETURN.
I advise you to put it in your WBStartup drawer.
* Tooltypes:
With the icon tooltype "POPKEY" you can choose the hot-key that you want to
use to pop-up the file requester. Default hot-key is "alt tab".
You can specify tooltypes as a Shell command line parameter too. If a
tooltype definition string contains white spaces, include it between quotes,
e.g.:
"POPKEY=shift alt space" or
'POPKEY=shift alt space'
* Contacts:
For any suggestion or bug report you can contact me by the K.I.S. Internet
supporter. See the KIS.readme file for more infos.
